Our new nephew
It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks with Patrick gone. He was able to come home this past weekend for a couple days...just in time to welcome our new nephew into the world! And here he is...the new little guy...with his beautiful mommy...
His name is Shepard Wesley and he arrived on Saturday. My sister had called me just before 4:30 that morning, wondering if she really could be in labor. Not much more than an hour later he was here...all 8 pounds and 14 ounces of him.The girls and I got to make a special trip up to the hospital to meet him. Ella just couldn't wait to hold him.
Both of the girls came bearing homemade gifts. Cassidy's creation was a pile of tiny letters she had stenciled onto little pieces of paper. As she handed them to her Aunt Nikki, she announced that she would be using them to teach her new cousin his ABC's.
I certainly couldn't close this post without posting a picture of the new big brother. We got to spend the day with Rosco on Saturday at one of our favorite family outings...the zoo. Rosco, his four cousins, and his choochoos had a blast.

If you guys are ever looking for company at the zoo or any other outings let me know. We would love to meet up with you guys and I am sure you would appreciate an extra pair of hands. Maybe two if Jaylin is in the mood, lol.
