Betrothed

Being that this is "the Svoboda Family" blog, I don't always share the images of other families that I get to photograph...but, this little man...well, someday he very well could be family...so I've decided he deserves a post of his own.

From the moment we found out we were having a girl during my pregnancy with Ella, my girlfriend Judy and I concocted this plan that our two children would marry. Her son AJ and my dear Gabriella have been buds ever since. We know God's plan might not be exactly how we picture it, but the friendship that has blossomed between these two children is incredible all the same. I do have to admit though, earlier this week when I was snapping his picture and he was following my every direction, I couldn't help but think to myself...what a nice son-in-law AJ might make one day! :) Just below is AJ's little brother, Micah. When he was born 9 months after our Cassidy, I thought what a nice suitor he might make for our second daughter! There's only one problem...she has her heart set on marrying AJ...just like her older sister. You should have seen the argument my two little ladies got into the other night in the tub...over who was marrying whom. My oh my...is this some sort of preview of what I have to look forward to in the coming years?!!!

My children are very blessed to have friends like these...and Patrick and I are even more blessed to have fellowship with their wonderful parents. Thanks guys for letting me take your picture.
