Updates

I wanted to take a quick break from posting NYC pictures with Ella to update everyone on the rest of our family.
Cassidy did exceptionally well during her extended weekend without Mommy and Sissy. Between sleepovers with Nana and Papa and going to Sylvan Beach and hanging out in the hot tub with Aunt Peggy, her weekend without us was quite full. Brody and Patrick got to spend a lot of time just the two of them doing "boy stuff" all weekend. Brody has certainly become quite the Daddy's boy these past weeks. I think I would say the first 17 months of his life, Brody was "Mommy's little guy" but has since transitioned into "Daddy's little sidekick". It really is quite comical. Only now, Patrick is out of town these next two weeks for work and already, Brody is missing his big buddy.
As last week kind of got away from me with preparations for my trip with Ella, I didn't really get the chance to post stats from Brody's 18 month well-child visit. Brody is now 32 inches tall which is the 50th percentile for his age bracket. His weight dropped just a little from his 15 month check up and he now weighs 21 pounds 12 ounces which is the 8th percentile. Though his numbers don't really show it, Patrick and I can see him growing from day to day...both inside and out!
I took this shot of Brody last week when I was doing his 18 month pictures. It seems faces like this are becoming a regular thing with him. The second I take my camera out he runs right up to me yelling "cheese" with his face all scrunched up and contorted. He sure is a goofy boy.

Upon our return from NYC, Memorial Day on Monday was spent at home. The kids and I were able to enjoy the nice weather outside in the morning. They certainly were happy to be together again. The three of them seriously must have played "ring around the rosie" 50 times; dancing around in circles and tumbling to the ground in a heap full of giggles. I really enjoyed watching them play together...their fun and laughter is always contagious!

Brody really is a smart boy... he's figured out that there is strength in numbers, so us GUYS have got to stick together!
