Ella's Hair

For months now, Ella has been wanting curly hair. We have explained to her that God has made her just the way He wants her and that she is beautiful any way she looks. But of course, to Ella, she still wants the curls. Tonight as I was putting little sponge rollers in her hair in an effort to achieve the "look" she really wants, Ella turned to me and said, "Mommy, tonight can we pray and ask God to give me curly hair that lasts all day tomorrow?" In my eyes, her straight hair is simply gorgeous (just like her mother's right?!)...but we'll see how those sponge rollers turn out in the morning. One of these days we might end up just having to get the child a perm!
