Potty Training #3!

About a month ago, our little Brody started showing interest in potty training. So we got our old potty seat out just to see what he would do with it. Though he has always loved sitting on it, Brody has never really quite made it there until after he has gone in his diaper. But today at lunch, Brody looked at me and said, "poop!" The kids and I dropped what we were eating and all scurried into the bathroom to help the little man do his business. And wouldn't you know, Brody pooped as if he were king of the throne! You should have seen the girls and me jumping up and down and doing the "poopy dance" (a ritual in our house whenever one of our children is potty training). It was quite the spectacle. Of course, I had to whip out the camera to take a picture of what Brody left behind. Yes, I know, to some of you it is quite disgusting, but I admittedly have taken a picture of each of my children's first poops on the potty. And no, do not fear, I will not be posting that lovely image for you all to see...over time I have realized that to some people, those kinds of things are best left to the imagination.

People don't want to see poop pictures? Congrats Brody!
What a big accomplishment! We have to get Sean and Brody together so he can tell Sean that it's fun to go on the potty! He has gone a couple of times but doesn't want to wear pull ups- oh well- we will get there! Mel
That's MY BOY! Great job to Mommy, I guess you had a little to do with it too!
From another Joseph Svoboda. Your site is wonderful. I am a retired 62 year old lawyer in Springfield, IL. My three children have never disappointed my wife or myself. We now find our lives directed by where they are: Brooklyn, Chicago, and Santa Monica. Your touching description of Grandma was so real and brought back fond memories of how our family treated and remembers those before us. FYI, I got your site from a continuing Google search for Svoboda.
