Swimming Milestone
This week, the kids started a new session at swim lessons. Somehow Ella's new instructor convinced her to take her bubble (flotation device) off in the water, and wouldn't you know, she is now swimming completely unassisted. I know I haven't posted video of the kids in a while, but using my handy point and shoot, I was able to capture Ella showing off her new skills at my parents pool the other night. You'll be able to see that Cassidy is just about ready to swim on her own too. And that nice young man they are racing to is Uncle Adam, visiting here from NYC.
I don't know if it's my own love for swimming that makes Ella's new accomplishment so incredible to me or if it is just the fact that she is gaining the confidence and independence to do more and more things on her own. But seriously, when I saw her swimming in the deep end at the YMCA that night and her instructor threw her hands up in the air to show me she was offering her no assistance, you would think my child was a little 10 month old again, taking her very first steps...I was just filled with that much pride. What a blessing it is to watch our children grow!!!

Great Job Ella!!! How exciting to be swimming without a bubble on. Cassidy is quite fast herself!
I got goosebumps! I am so proud of Ella!! Now only if she can teach Riley, lol.
