Davie Camp

Saturday kicked off our Labor Day weekend with the Davie Family Clam Bake at Leland Pond. This was our 6th year in attendance and even with how incredibly pregnant and uncomfortable I feel these days, Patrick and I (as well as the kids) certainly did not want to miss it.
Ella and Cassidy have always enjoyed their time with the Davie girls. Their youngest daughter Rebekah is just a year older than Ella (2 years older than Cassidy) and I would have to say...when those three get together, they are just absolutely inseparable.
The Davie camp has to be the perfect setting for a little boy. Brody I don't think could get enough of it...especially when it came to making mud pies in the sand.
Other than to eat and roast marshmallows, I don't think you could find Ella too far from the water in the pond. After discovering that the shore was full of snail shells, she began a quest to find as many as she could...and boy did she ever! We haven't counted them all yet, but I think Ella left with a baggie full of over 50!
