Erie Canal
In the baby naming book that Patrick and I have, "Brody" is Irish for "canal builder". Back when we were deciding on a final name to give our first son, we plain and simply just liked the name "Brody"...the fact that it tied in with New York State Geography was a nice little bonus. As we continue to contemplate a name for our next child, we thought it would be fitting today (the day before our due date) to take the kids for a walk along the Erie Canal...so not only could Brody learn a little more about his "heritage"...but maybe Patrick and I could find a little inspiration.
It's hard to believe this very well could be the last family picture of the "five" of us before our new little guy arrives...

Where's that BABY?! :) We're waiting for a call from our sister-in-law any day now saying she's had our first nephew. Its so exciting! Anyway - i love your pictures. They're my inspiration.

I love the family photo! What will the baby ticker say tomorrow? We were away for a few days and I was anxious to check my blog when I got home to see if you (and Libby) had your baby!

As usual I LOVE your pictures. Can you come and take pictures for my blog too? I took some pictures of the mountains behind Lake Pleasant yesterday and the whole time wondered if they would come out as nice as your pictures...they didn't...but I'm pretty sure my little camera is far inferior to your fancy one.
