Telling the Truth
The other night as I was getting the girls to bed, I asked Ella if she had remembered to brush her teeth. She repeatedly told me yes, but something in the look on her face told me differently. Not wanting to ever call one of our children a liar, I reminded Ella that even though Mommy wasn't in the bathroom with her, God on the other hand sees everything and He knows whether or not what we say is true. I was hoping this would prompt (or maybe the word I am looking for is guilt) Ella into admitting that she in fact did not brush her teeth like I suspected. Instead, Ella replied to me, "Well then Mommy, why don't you go on up to Heaven and ask Him!"

What a stinker! I hope you made her brush her teeth!
Ha- that's really funny. I was just saying yesterday that I can't wait for Emma to start talking b/c kids say such funny things. :)
yes that is the one!! we were going to get her that one... now we will just get the furniture...
Smarty pants! Those are the comments that are very hard to not laugh at! But I hope you brushed her teeth and added a little soap with it :)
Wow! I laughed out loud when I read that one! We caught A.J. telling a lie once...we made him eat a spoonful of mustard...that was the last time we caught him in a lie.
Very cute! It's amazing the things they say!
