Stomach Bug...
...it seems each year someone in our household gets it and inevitably we find that it travels down the line until everyone has had a taste of it ("taste"...hmmm...I'm sure that paints a pretty picture for all you readers out there). This week it started with the girls; first Cassidy...then Ella was quick to follow. Cassidy, having seemingly quite the sensitive stomach, has become an old pro at throwing-up. She knows the "routine" and not much surrounding it seems to really phase her. Let me explain...
After the onset of her sickness, I was up with Cassidy that first night, holding her hair, emptying out "dirty" buckets and "the whole shebang". After a few hours, I succumbed to my exhaustion and fell fast asleep. Who knows how long afterwards, I opened my eyes to find little Cassidy standing beside my bed: "Mommy, can you please clean out my bucket because I threw up in it again." And then as if nothing had even taken place, Cassidy walked herself to her room, climbed up into her bed and went back to sleep.
Ella on the other hand...now she's a whole other story. When that kid's stomach gets upset, she tries her darnedest to run away from it...literally! We could have bucket upon bucket beside her and the toilet right in front of her and she STILL will get sick all over herself, the floor and anything, or should I say everything in between! This morning Patrick and I even resorted to restraining her to the tub...at least that would make for a much easier cleanup anyway.
So far, this little bug has overtaken only the girls...and I am certainly praying it stops there. Just for smiles, here is a little picture I was able to snap the other day of one of our healthier ones playing his little heart away within the curtains. And yes...that is indeed a band-aid on his nose; and no...he did not have a boo-boo underneath it. Brody woke up that morning and just wanted it on. He seriously went about his entire day with that thing plastered to his face; and he was simply adorable.

I hope everyone is feeling better! One of these days we will all be healthy enough for a visit!!!
There sure is alot going around! I hope we don't get the stomach bug! Poor kids (and poor you)....throwing up stinks and cleaning it up is almost just as bad.
Ugh stomach bugs are not fun. I hope everyone feels better soon. I love the new pictures on the top of your page. I attempted to make something like that but its no where near as beautiful as yours. I have been responding to the comments you have left on my blog underneath yours, I hope you have been seeing them =)
Oh no! I hope the girls are feeling better and the rest of you were able to avoid the bug. Brody is a ham!
I hope you are all feeling better! Love the pics! We missed you at the tea the other day!
Ok that is so funny.....Spencer and Ella sound EXACTLY alike in the throw up department. He is the same way....big bowl and trash can goes next to his bed....toilet right in front of him...where does he throw up? All over the floor!!! I have even held the big bowl in front of him, stood him in front of the toilet and he'll still throw up on the floor!!!! AAAHHH!!!! It was nice to read that someone elses child does the same thing. And what is it about bandaids? My children will try and injure themselves JUST to get a bandaid!!! Brody did look pretty cute with that Diego bandaid though. Sometimes it's just easier to give in to something like that and just buy some more than to fight with them and explain the "No blood, no bandaid" rule...haha!! Hope everyone is feeling better and it hasn't traveled to anyone else. I'll take anything over throwing up!!! It's definitely going around though. The Rockhill's and Darcy's family both had it over Thanksgiving. Feel better and after the holidays we will definitely have to have a playdate!!
