15 months
Little Brody had his 15 month check-up this morning at his Pediatrician's Office. He weighed in at 22 and 3/4 pounds (just below the 25th percentile) with a length of 31 and 3/4 inches (just below the 75th percentile) and a head circumference of 48 cm (right about the 75th percentile). In short, our Little Guy is a skinny mini, is going to be tall like his Daddy (hopefully), and has one BIG head! Brody got a clean bill of health and two vaccinations that he barely even shed a tear for. I do wish I could say the same for poor old Ella. For those of you who don't know, last June Ella pinched her fingers in the door at the YMCA and lacerated one of her nail beds pretty badly. After a night at the hopsital with 5 doctors and nurses literally holding her down and coming at her with all sorts of shots and needles, Ella was quite the tramatized little girl. Even now, the whole experience is haunting to her. This morning when the nurse come in the room to administer Brody's vaccinations, Ella seriously started to sob at the sight of those two syringes. I can't even tell you how many times Dr. Kim and I have spoken to her about the importance of these shots and how they will protect Brody from future illnesses, but honestly I think all she remembers is her experience with her finger and being the great big sister she is, worries the same feelings and pain will be inflicted on her baby brother! Many, many tears (and DumDum lollipops) later, we got out of there okay and all three of the kids got spoiled with a special lunch from "Old McDonalds."
