Keeping Busy

The kids and I have been trying to keep ourselves busy with Patrick still being away. The other evening, our friends the Davie's invited us over for dinner and the kids got to enjoy their pet bunny after we ate. Ella was just so proud to hold that little thing. Somedays I wonder if she will grow up to be a veterinarian because she truly does have a love for animals (I think we may have to get her over her fear of needles first though). Yesterday, I took the kids bowling again with their Aunt Jen and Cousins Kennedy and Conor. It turned out to be just as big of a hit as the last time we went. The girls are getting quite good actually, although I do wish I could say the same for myself! Just not my sport I guess. Today, despite the cold, my friend Melanie and her son Sean joined us at the zoo for a fun day with the animals. The kids got to touch some animal skulls that were on exhibit including a squirrel monkey and baboon. Then they learned about "hibernation" during an entertaining puppet show put on by zoo staff and volunteers. I don't have too many new pictures to share today as I am still adjusting to life without my husband's helpful hands. Thankfully he is scheduled to return a week from tomorrow and the kids and I truly cannot wait.
