Ella's dance recital

This past weekend, Gabriella participated in her very first dance recital. Throughout the winter we had her enrolled in a creative movement class at the YMCA for 3 and 4 year olds. Saturday was their final recital. Her class danced to "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and wore gorgeous bright orange costumes with big fluffy tutus. It was adorable. Ella did a great job and seemed to enjoy watching all the other dances just as much as being up there doing her own. It was quite the emotional day for myself (and all the other "first-time" dance moms). To see our daughters up there...so independent and seeming so "grown-up"...it was quite bitter-sweet. What a reminder of how quickly time flies yet at the same time a slight moment of pride as our daughters take yet another step towards womanhood. Anyway, Gabriella did a great job and we all enjoyed sharing her special day with her. Action shots are not my strong point, but I was able to get this one of her during some down time before the recital as she was fiddling around on stage with her girlfriends.
