Unexpected Pictures

We are leaving in a week to go on a much needed family vacation and I had this "superb" idea to post on the blog on the day of our departure, a picture of the three kids all "packed up and ready to go" in our "giant" suitcase. Well, this morning I learned that our suitcase isn't as "giant" as we thought (or our kids are just much bigger than I ever realized)! How I thought I would fit all three of them in there comfortably...I do not know. So as you can imagine, the suitcase photo shoot was a flop. I am beginning to learn that my children do not like to be "posed" when taking their picture. If I just let them be what they want and do what they want, I notice I get much better pictures (and of course happier kids)! After we got rid of the suitcase, I was able to get some shots of the kids being just plain old silly. As the morning went on, Cassidy and Ella decided they wanted Brody to be their "prince" and they in fact began to bicker over whose "prince" little Brody was. Eventually they were pulling him each by a hand, taking him to their respective "castles" in different areas of the house, trying to win him over. Brody enjoyed every second of it. He loves those girls and soaks up every ounce of attention they want to give him. Anyway...I'm still debating over whether any of the "suitcase" shots will make it into a posting next week...guess you'll just have to wait and see!
