Graduate

This weekend I received confirmation of my MSED in Literacy Education at OSWEGO STATE UNIVERSITY. Though I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to further my education, at the same time, I am relieved that this process has finally come to a close. Having enrolled in my first graduate class nearly five years ago when I was pregnant for our first child, this spring I have completed the Literacy program...pregnant with our fourth. Receiving this degree has come with many sacrifices that I honestly can't even begin to list. But what I can do is thank the people that have been there to support me along the way...my parents and my in-laws who took turns helping with the kids the first couple semesters while I was in school, my children who missed out on their Mommy all the hours I was "hitting the books", and of course my loving and faithful husband who has taken the brunt of it all...playing the role of Mr. Mom all the times I wasn't there to fulfill my duties. I will be forever grateful for the new knowledge I have gained through this degree I have just received, but for now I am even more thankful that I can go back to being the Mommy and the Wife God has called me to be...
