"Little Mother"
I took this picture of the girls probably over a week ago now, but wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it until today. The day this shot was taken, the girls were having some fun out in the snow while I had Brody inside taking a nap. Cassidy decided she wanted to do some sledding down our neighbor's hill, but it wasn't quite the right snow for sledding that day and she just couldn't seem to get herself to slide very well. Noticing her sister's frustration, Ella came up and said, "It's okay Cassidy, I will pull you." And so for the next 20 minutes or so, Mommy Ella pulled her little girl around the yard and Cassidy sat back and enjoyed every second of it.
Fast forward a little bit to today...this morning at breakfast, I was announcing (to whatever child would listen) the whole list of errands we had to run for the day. Cassidy immediately expressed disgust at the idea of having to vacate her plans to spend the morning inside playing. She told me right off the bat that she "just wanted to stay home." Well of course I immediately asked, "all by yourself?" And she matter of factly replied with, "No Mommy, Ella can take care of me!" To be perfectly honest, I am sure Ella would do quite a fine job as a Mommy. In fact, that is what she tells me she wants to be when she grows up. Admittedly there are times when we leave SuperCuts after our regular haircuts that she says she wants to be a hairdresser, or after a day at the zoo she wants to be a zoo keeper, and even at her last dental exam she came home wanting to be a dentist. But at the end of the day, she always goes back to wanting to be a mommy when she grows up...which I have to say, makes this Mommy feel quite proud...that just maybe Ella really feels that my job...the job that I have always dreamed about...is something special.

Well, I'd have to say that both you and Ella are quite right, your job of being a Mommy, is very special and even more important than either of the two of you could begin to imagine.
I'm proud of you, Jesse, and would be proud of Ella too if she decides to take the challenging task of motherhood on as her main occupation also!
Just two more days!!!!
Miss you, Love you, and GOD BLESS!
Daddy.
